Liquid Vinyl vs. Traditional Siding

Product Comparison: Never Paint Again

Why would a consumer decide to choose Liquid V-Coat over painting or conventional vinyl siding? The answer shouldn't surprise you. Liquid Vinyl lasts for 40 years and it does not change the look of the substrate. In other words you can preserve the look of the exterior wood with out changing the architectural detail. Instead of just covering your home with conventional plastic siding, you can coat your home giving it a rich looking texture.

Liquid Vinyl Coatings vs. Vinyl Plastic Siding
Its only human nature to ask the first question that comes to mind....Whats the difference in cost? And the answer is that Liquid Vinyl Coatings has about the same cost investment as Vinyl but the warranty if you are comparing apples to apples is exceptionally better. Liquid Vinyl has a 40 transferable warranty. Changes are you have you seen a house with conventional plastic siding? Does it look like wood? Can you see the over seaming laps of plastic that cover the wood? If you answered yes to any of these questions then you probably made up your mind about the subject at hand. But thats not enough for some of our consumer's that would like a deeper education on the matter. Conventional siding does not help the fact that your wood is rotting and needs to be painted every 3 to 5 years. If you cut down a tree does it die? And isn't that same wood after its been manufactured, nailed to your home? Yes!! So if you cover up your wood with plastic siding, you know the wood that is underneath will continue to rot. Even with insulation that is between the wood and the vinyl may help a little, but your still literally covering up the fact that you have a problem with wood rotting on your home. Liquid Vinyl is never applied onto rotten wood. Any wood that has dry rot will be replaced before the Liquid Vinyl Topcoat is applied.

Conventional Plastic Siding has other irritations like the vibrating in the wind. If you did not know it already vinyl siding isn't nailed to your home. So after a storm, pieces of your home can come flying off into a neighbor's yard. After many years vinyl becomes weathered and brittled. Liquid Vinyl Siding captures the look of your home. It doesn't look like plastic. Its very possible that you mistook a freshly painted house for Liquid Vinyl Siding. If you had your home coated with Liquid Siding, and you stood at the end of the driveway, you can tell that your home has a “Freshly Painted” look. But if you rubbed your hand across the wood siding, there is a remarkable difference in the feel of the wood.

You can actually feel that your wood has a thickness thats consistent though out the substrate. Vinyl Plastic is very limited in color. You can only choose about 25 colors with vinyl. With Liquid Vinyl Coatings you can choose over 1,700 colors to customize your house to your liking. One quality that Conventional Vinyl has over Liquid Vinyl Siding is its insulation. Plastic Vinyl does have better insulation than Liquid Siding, however Liquid Siding is One Way Vapor-Permeable allowing your wood to breath, and because of the unique installation with Liquid Vinyl Siding, the house will be AIR TIGHT WATERPROOF saving you money with your heating and cooling bills though out the seasons.

Now a couple more things about your Conventional Plastic Vinyl, the green and black mold that grows all over plastic vinyl is very unsightly. Mold needs a porous surface to adhere to, and Liquid Vinyl Coatings is smooth and makes it very hard for mold to grow on, and because its waterproof it repels water and resist mildew. Because Liquid Vinyl is applied directly onto the wood it also takes on the attributes of the wood its applied to. So if you had Liquid Siding on your home and it was hit with baseball it would make a print in the wood but thats about it. If that same baseball was thrown at regular vinyl it will crack off the side of your house and that means the whole entire panel will have to be replaced.
